Yellow sale 2005 and some free books

Blogging on with yellow pictograms, Springer's annual Yellow Sale is now on with some nice titles, including recent ones like Arnold's PDE lectures.

Unfortunately many texts I'd like to get are not on that sale list, and in fact are quite expensive! I certainly can't afford $119...

Hopefully in the future much more people will follow the nice example of Allen Hatcher and Cambridge University Press to (legally) leave a free PDF copy of the book online for the unwealthy.

Another great example I know of is the list of online books maintained by the AMS, including classics like the first edition of Guillemin & Sternberg's Geometric Asymptotics.
